State Officers. Each year at the Georgia State Leadership Conference, a new slate of officers is elected to represent the membership body. These officers are students from technical colleges and universities from across the state of Georgia.
In late May to early June, state officers receive training and are given their official roles from a panel of third-party trainers at the annual State Officer Training retreat. |
Meet your 2024-2025 State Officer Team.
I decided to serve as a Georgia FBLA Collegiate State Officer because I want to help students accomplish their goals and lead them to success. I have been involved with FBLA for over 10 years in various roles. However, I have never been a State Officer until now. I had always wanted to become one but felt too nervous, too scared of public speaking, and told myself it "wasn't the right time" in the past. I eventually decided to just do it!
If you're waiting for the perfect timing, you will be waiting forever. My life motto is, "You will never be successful if you're always comfortable." We all have so much potential if we put our minds to it and stay determined. This year, I plan to help students overcome their fears, learn valuable skills, and grow as a leader through Georgia FBLA! Vice President of MembershipThe reason that I wanted to be a State officer is the warm welcome that FBLA has provided throughout my collegiate career as a student. Prior to being a state officer every workshop, event or boot camp that we ever done the room is always filled up with happy people smiles laugh and good memories. I felt that it would be only right to incorporate this program into my everyday life !
Vice President of FundraisingI decided to serve as an officer because I know that FBLA is an amazing way to immerse myself in the business world while I am in college. As an officer, I have the opportunity to travel and actively practice the skills I've learned in FBLA through workshops and interacting with other members. I think it is important to always work on moving up in life and trying new experiences by striving for opportunities outside your comfort zone.

Executive Vice PresidentI choose to serve as Georgia FBLA executive vice president because I want there to be more Latino representation in FBLA. It is my desire to see more stories like mine of first generation Mexican-Americans, and first generation college students, stepping outside of their comfort zone and striving for leadership positions that they might not otherwise feel capable of achieving.
My time in FBLA has offered me opportunities that have benefited me tremendously. Being a part of FBLA has taught me a lot about myself, my peers and the community around me as well as the resources available through TCSG. This is my time to pay it forward and provide mentorship for students like me by being the best role model as a state officer for FBLA collegiate. Vice President of ProjectsFBLA empowers me to grow my confidence as an individual with the ability to achieve more than I thought possible. I want to help others experience this by striving to further expand the uplifting environment that encourages learning and growth that FBLA helps to cultivate.
Vice President of CommunicationsI chose to serve as a Georgia FBLA Collegiate State Officer because I am committed to fostering the continued growth and success of the organization. When I observed that only one candidate ran for officer positions at the SLC 2024, I decided to step up to ensure that Georgia FBLA could continue its important work. I aim to contribute my unique perspective to identify and address any challenges in our processes, working to streamline and improve them for the benefit of all members.
