For more than 75 years, Georgia Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate (formerly Phi Beta Lambda) has been the premier student leadership organization in the state. Our members develop community-minded leadership skills through pursuing excellence in the core FBLA tenants of Service, Progress, and Education.

About Future Business Leaders of America.
Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with over 200,000 students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The association has four divisions:

FBLA is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and organized on a local, state, and national level. Business teachers, advisers, and advisory councils (including school officials, business people, and community representatives) guide local chapters. State advisers and committee members coordinate chapter activities for the national organization. The national board of directors is comprised of local teachers, state educators, business leaders, and the division presidents.
The FBLA concepts was developed in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner of Columbia University. The first high school chapter was chartered in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 3, 1942. In 1958, the first collegiate chapter was chartered in Iowa. The Professional Division (now the Alumni Network), began in 1979. Finally, FBLA-Middle was chartered in 1994 for students in grades 5-9. |
